I am become bees, destroyer of not-bees

Yesterday was the Taste of the Sierra event. It went well. I didn't do anything for it, Fernando and Uzzi were here early doing prep and stuff, and all I did was take care of the restaurant side of things. Because it ended up I was the only one doing the restaurant, right as we opened I had people come and sit at the bar, then we got a couple big tables and a couple little ones, and that's when they ran out of California rolls up there. Courtney called all flipping out and stuff, telling Ellen, "tell Judy we need them NOW" and I told Ellen that sorry, I can't do that, and she was like "yeah that's what I told her." Poor Ellen has to listen to that even though as the hostess she doesn't have to listen to that. Then Courtney demanded that we call Fernando, who was on his break, and have him hustle back to help because Mariah is still slow, so he and Mariah were doing that until almost 8 when they said they don't need anymore. By then the restaurant rush was over too.

So we cleaned up at 9 and helped Uzzi bring everything back from the Village, and Fernando bought us drinks from the brewing company's table at the event. We went back to the restaurant to finish them, and Mariah went home cuz she had to go to Crowley, so me, Uzzi and Fernando went to Underground. Fernando didn't drink cuz he wanted to go home and shower and then go to Rafters, so me and Uzzi went to Lakanuki and everyone and their mum was there. I ran into a lot of old faces: Val, Alexi, Jeremy, Ben, Matt Berry, KJ, too many familiar people.

I went outside to take a taxi home but the cab had to take home a girl who'd got beat up by her boyfriend, so I went back to Underground and along came Uzzi again, so I ran after him and found Miles, who offered us a ride to Rafters, but I was like "I should probably go home" cuz I was HAMMERED at this point, so Miles went out of his way to drop me off, and I guess they probably went to Rafters and Uzziel probably died. His car was gone from the lot where we park when I came to work, but I'm not going to expect much from him today. That man has a liver of steel.
